Red Bluff Police K9 Sniffs Out Meth & Fentanyl On 2nd Day Of Duty `

A wanted man has been captured in Red Bluff, and police say their new K9 told them he had a lot of drugs on him. At 8:30PM Tuesday night a car was pulled over by officers on Antelope Boulevard at Gilmore Road, and 32-year-old Brett Howell was a backseat passenger. Officers recognized him and detained him because he’s on Post Release Supervision and had four outstanding felony warrants. Max the K9, who was working only the second shift of his career, indicated the presence of drugs and a search was done, reportedly revealing about a Pound of Methamphetamine, 1.5 Ounces of Fentanyl, a scale, tear gas and two boxes of pistol ammunition. All the stuff was determined to belong to Howell and he was booked into jail.
