It’s safe to drink the water in Castella, according to Shasta County Public Works. Last week the entire system failed and when it was restored a boil water advisory was issued in case contaminants were able to infiltrate the system during the loss of pressure. Testing has shown that the water is clear of coliform bacteria and it’s safe for human consumption.
