Many Redding residents and travelers passing through have pondered over the years about why there are two Denny’s Restaurants so close to each other just across the freeway. Wonder no more, because now there’s only one. The Denny’s on East Cypress Avenue west of Interstate Five is permanently closed. No explanation has been given and it appears the Denny’s on Hilltop Drive will remain open.
