A Trinity County man has been arrested for vandalizing a church because they weren’t there when he needed them, according to the Trinity Journal. The damage was discovered on December 29th when a member of the congregation called 911 to report that the doors had been broken from the front of the Community Church in Salyer. Responding deputies found extensive damage inside, with the piano, organ and pulpit toppled and destroyed, many decorations broken, and things generally trashed in every room of the church. When investigators found the suspect he apparently told them he was angry because he was looking for food on or around Christmas and nobody was at the church to help him.
