Survey Will Help Guide Future Community Action Plan

Shasta County residents can have a say in how some of their tax money is spent by completing an online survey. The Community Needs Survey is done every two years by the Shasta County Housing and Community Action Agency, covering a litany of topics, from food and housing to medical care and child services. Learning the major needs and priorities on the minds of community members will provide direction to the county on how funding should be allocated. Once a Community Action Plan for 2024 and 2025 is developed and approved, it’ll be submitted to the state government. The survey, which takes about 5 minutes to complete and can be done anytime before the end of the month, can be found at shastacounty.gov/housing-community-action-programs.
