Man Suffers Burns In RV Fire At Roosters Landing

Help is needed after a motor home was destroyed by fire on Sunday east of Cottonwood. The fire occurred at Rooster’s Landing, a fishing resort on the Sacramento River located off Ash Creek Road in the area of Coleman Fish Hatchery. The RV was a total loss and the elderly couple who lived there lost everything they had. The man, who was reported to be a decorated military veteran, suffered burns to his legs and was hospitalized while his wife suffered smoke inhalation. They’re both apparently in their 80s. The couple’s two dogs perished in the fire. The RV had been parked next to the restaurant Rooster’s on the River, where all kinds of donations are being accepted on behalf of the couple.
