At one point the outage numbered 4,500. The utility says repairs need to wait until enough ice melts to access their microwave tower on Shasta Bally, which may be Tuesday. Meanwhile, dispatchers in Trinity County can receive 9-1-1 calls but they can’t call back. They still will be able see the general location of the caller.
